Family Reunion May 2016

I was so incredibly excited when Lauren asked if I could capture her family reunion in Burnet, Texas. I've worked with Lauren and one of her sons, Grayson, for a little over a year now, so not only was I going to be able to meet her husband and baby boy, Cooper, but I would be introduced to the rest of her amazingly hilarious and beautiful family.

It was a much needed peaceful drive out to Burnet, with lots of gorgeous views. Her parents home reflected the warm and loving environment they created, as well as how breathtaking the views were.

When I heard that Lauren and husband, Daniel, welcomed a handsome little boy, Cooper, into their family, I just couldn't wait to finally meet him. I absolutely adore being able to work with Grayson, and Cooper was JUST as cute as his big brother.

The best thing about this family is how welcome they make you feel. The whole time we spent laughing and having great time, getting to know one another, and it was definitely one of my favorite sessions.

After spending the first half of the session in their tree-house deck over looking the river, we headed down to the river area to take a few more pictures. 

I thoroughly enjoyed being able to capture y'all's family reunion and look forward to seeing you in the future.

Israel is ONE!

Israel is One!! It was the perfect morning to celebrate his first year photo session at the Botanical Gardens and I am so happy I was able to capture these memories for his parents.

Israel is a natural baby Vogue model and he looked extra cute in his cowboy outfit. After hanging out at the cabin, we headed over to one of my favorite spots, the duck pond.

The ducks were very friendly, walking around us and making their appearances in some of his photos. Happy birthday, Israel! I cannot wait to see how much you grow in the next year!

Georgia and Jesse

I haven't seen Georgia and Jesse in two years, and my, how much they have grown! When their mom, Jennifer, called to schedule another brother sister session, I was overjoyed.

Jesse is now a handsome five year old who is in kindergarten and funny as always. Georgia is such a sweet, beautiful light that brightens up any space she enters. We headed back to the Botanical Gardens for their session just as we did a couple years ago, and thankfully, the rain stayed away and we enjoyed a beautiful day at the gardens.

I cannot wait to see how much they grow over the years!

Grayson is THREE!

Boy [boi] noun:

1. one of life's greatest blessings

2. Noise with dirt on it

I worked with Grayson last year to capture his second birthday photos, so when his mom, Lauren, asked if I could do his photos again this year, of course I said yes! In the past year, Grayson has gotten more handsome, curious, fearless, and became a BIG BROTHER.

As a mom, I know how fast a toddler can move and lose attention, so when Lauren mentioned she wanted to do something a little more urbanized this year, the Pearl was the perfect location. I let Grayson take lead for the most part, letting him choose where to go for his photos, the train being his favorite. Thankfully his mom had a bag full of tricks and go to's to keep Grayson's attention, including bubbles! As much as I love my Vogue: Toddler edition photos (which Grayson had LOTS of ), I also love being able to capture what the little ones love, so having Grayson run around chasing bubbles was perfect.

We had an amazing time running around the Pearl, checking out the train, the fountain, and scoping out the food market and band. I cannot wait to see how much more you grow in the next year!
